New York City — For a span of three years, all indications show that the enterprise of Filipino brother-sister Abe Medenillo and Shanna Wallace tandem, YUFFLUFF (Your Faith Looks Familiar) has thrived well here.
Who wouldn’t smile and love at such creations like Momo, Beel, Jay C, Nino, and Shivz and who assert to “own your epicness” and to “be cool with others, especially those who don’t share your beliefs or ideologies.”
Yuffluff, seriously, is about religious tolerance, and describes itself is a non-prophet organization which tolerates freedom of faith with art and humor. Before you would have known it, the heroes would have spread peace and humor in New York.
Let’s hear it from Shanna:
1. How has Yufflufff business been since we featured you two years ago? Tell us about how you grew it.
Your Faith Looks Familiar started as an aspirational conversation on the Highline in 2011, we officially introduced our designs in 2012, and have been on the path of continuous evolution ever since. The more we meet people who have been breathing and leading industry, and the more one-on-one experiences we have with our customers, the more we get to refine our ideas and focus toward the direction we want. Our monthly pop-up shops around NY have been key to our growth.
From our booth in Comic Con to our table in Tribeca Urban Arts Showcase and even our sales bench in the holistic community, it is
very important for us to not only know our demographic by Heart but at the same token, go beyond what we think we know and let our imagination and intuition lead.
2. In thriving the US, what is the key to entrepreneurial success?
Connections. The key to entrepreneurial success is expanding your web insideout. It is imperative that we not only do business with people, but more importantly, it is vital that we hook up with their essence. We are all connected to begin with, so we are merely putting out a reminder, watering the plant of coexistence, which beautifully blossomed from a seed of unity.
3. What are we to expect from Yuffluff in the coming months?
YFLF Gang bobble heads, plushies & NYC pop-up shops galore! They will be in posters, cards and shirts. As action figures and live characters of Facebook, Twitter and Google+.
