Today is America’s tipping point and social threshold as a result of the enactment of the 1965 Hart Cellar Immigration Act which allowed entry of non-white immigrants from Asia, Africa, and Latin America. While it has reason to acknowledge and celebrate its diversity, it is also reeling from institutional racism.
