New York – It’s summer, the time of the year here where locals, tourists, and sports buffs gather to watch the US Open – like an annual sports pilgrimage of sorts in Queens.
OSM! Contributing photographer Carla Mayol shares snippets of the vigorous public – friends, lovers, and family trooping to the sprawling Flushing Meadows. She captures on her camera the rising young women athletes of our time: Naomi Osaka, Caroline Wozniaki, and Coco Gauf, the youngest tennis champ to boot.

Bonding time: family and friends enjoy the US Open.

Flushing Meadows, host to the US Open in Queens, is a proverbial sports Mecca for locals, tourists, and sports buffs every summer.
