New York – Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was an inspiration even for those who she didn’t see. OSM! Digital Editor, the late Leani Auxilio (I feel the sharp pain attaching the word late to her name…) was a fan. On her hospital bed at Mt. Sinai Hospital, she rendered RBG sometime in February 2019.
The late Associate Justice, the second woman Justice installed for the US, was one of Nikki’s digital art subjects for her first and only art exhibit for #Womensday2019 celebrations. A native of Brooklyn, #RBG passed away on September 18, 2020 at age 87.
My dearest daughter was fighting courageously against colon cancer and took inspiration from #RBG who was also fighting against the disease. Her art exhibit was organized by her women’s group Af3irmnyc. Nikki transitioned on November 17, 2019 at age 27. She had told me at one point that the ‘badass’ RBG was going to be her art subject for her exhibit.
Justice RBG’s legacy of standing up for women’s rights in the realm of the US justice system has created lasting impact on today’s youth. RIP, RBG and thank you. #
