Join a Charity Event: 5K Run at Lincoln State Park

Jersey City – The Handang Tumulong Founda-on, Inc. (HTFI), a not-for-profit 501 (c)(3) NJ-based organization, invites everyone to support and participate in its 8th Annual 5K Run / 1mi Walk race to be held at Lincoln Park in Jersey City, NJ on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017.

The race recommended for everyone’s health but also for supporting the project in raising money to be set aside towards a designated “always ready-fund” for victims of natural calamities around the world, particularly in the Philippines.  Please register online at http://www.ac-ve.com/jersey-city-nj/running/distance-running-races/hAi-5krun-1-mile-fun-walk-2017.

Check-in and Registration starts at 7:00 AM with a pre-registration fee of $30 per participant ($35 on the day of race). Children under 18 is $15. Discounted rate of $70 applies to pre-registered groups of 2 Adults with 1 Minor Child. Families are encouraged to participate and experience a fun-filled day.

Music to enliven the event will be provided by a DJ. Amenities such as T-shirts and bronze medals will be given to registrants and winners. Trophies will be awarded to Top 3 Male and Female winners of the 5K Run. There will be post-race refreshments at the hospitality booth.

HTFI was founded in 2010 primarily to raise awareness to the plight of victims of natural calamities such as typhoons and earthquakes. Since incep@on, it has raised about $200,000 distributed to benefit the less fortunate and the needy. To raise funds, HTFI spearheads two major events each year. The first is a cultural event usually held in the Spring and the other is the 5K Run / 1 mi Walk race held in the Fall.
