New York – The great American experiment have reached a new threshold today with the inauguration of Joseph R. Biden as the 46th President of the United States and Kamala Harris as Vice President and the first woman of color to be installed in the second highest office.
We have installed a white and African-Asian leadership, a representation of American diversity that it has dynamically become since America opened itself to non-white immigrants in 1965. Today is a triumph of representation.
For me and to many of us, the inauguration was a moment of awe and concern (what if someone broke lose and created chaos kind of fear). The days leading to it was well-fought after the Capitol siege.
On January 20, 2021, America reboots itself and rolls her sleeves for there is so much to be done. With a representative leadership, we have to win over this dark coronavirus pandemic, restore the economy, and unite as a people of diversity. #
