Fun with Lauren and Ann for Mother’s Day Pictorial

By Marivir R. Montebon

It was a fun pictorial that was postponed several times over due to the April rains. But on a sparkling Wednesday of May 3, we headed out to Fort Tryon Park on Washington Heights. It was a lovely time with Ann, who is Mrs. Kalayaan Luzon 2017 and daughter Lauren, a little over two years old, and the real pro that we have.

Those who saw Ann’s heavily beaded cream Filipiniana gown with butterfly sleeves could not help but stop and admire how lovely she is, and ask questions. She had to repeatedly say it is a Filipino dress and will wear it on the Philippine Independence Day Parade in June this year on Madison Avenue. The Philippine Independence Day Council Inc. has organized the parade, the biggest outside the Philippines, for the 119th anniversary of the founding of the first Republic in Asia.

During our shoot, Lauren was equally the apple of spectator’s eyes.  The youngest doll-like daughter of Anne and Nikolai Beck, she was actually just playing on and never had a tantrum. ‘Atta pro!

(A thank you shout out to Ann’s friends Josephine Juhasz and Rachel Tan Romero and Kuya Tristan, older brother of Lauren for the support during the shoot.)
