New York City – Lee Hubilla, one of the main actors of the Journey of a Brown Girl, is cast in a major role Slumber, which runs until November 6 at the House of Yes on 2 Wycoff Avenue in Brooklyn.
Slumber is a dark, twisted circus underscored by electronic pop music. It follows a breathtaking girl squad of circus performers and dancers on the last night of their lives.
Hubilla plays the psychotic killer friend who have had the audiences laughing in terror. The Diandra Reviews says, “She is so casually insane you feel threatened by both her derangement and your own liking of it. She is charismatic and rhythmic in both her dance moves and rhetorical ones.”
A production of Hideway, the cast of Slumber also features Olga Karmansky (Pippin, US Champion and two-time Pan American Champion in Rhythmic Gymnastics), Anya Sapozhnikova (House of Yes founder), Joren Dawson (Traces, Club Swizzle), Melissa Aguerre, Bokyung Park, and Lisa Sainvil.
The Time Out New York remarked that Slumber is “contemporary, sexy and a little bit dangerous… Both elegant and alluringly raw (never mind the blood stains).”
Featuring choreography by Keone and Mari Madrid (MTV Award Nominated), 90-minute show takes the audience on a terrifyingly fun ride as they watch best friends get killed off by one of their own.
Attendees of the show must be 21 years of age or older.
