New York – The Filipino Americans for Biden-Harris (FAFBH) joins Vice President Joe Biden in his call “for an immediate, full and transparent investigation and the officers must be held accountable” regarding the police shooting of Jacob Blake multiple times in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on Sunday as he opened the door to a vehicle where his three children sat.
When George Floyd was killed at the knees of bad cops, thousands of Filipino Americans, an overwhelming number of them GEN Z and Millennials, took to the streets rising up against social injustice and police brutality. Our young Filipino Americans continue to speak out because they want to make sure our community is on the right side against racism and stands up for human decency.
Filipino Americans for Biden Harris (FAFBH) are united with our Filipino American Gen Z and millennials because they remind us even though Filipinos don’t experience the same level of structural racism that those who are Black do, the same racist schemes that are keeping both Black and Filipino American communities down is still the same system.
