On behalf of the city of New York, I would like to congratulate you and the team at OSM Online Magazine on your 10th anniversary, as well as the launch of your companion commemorative book “Awesome at 10”!
I am humbled and honored to be listed among the incredible Filipino Americans featured in the book. Thank you so much for including me. It is a privilege to represent our community as Commissioner of the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment in service of our beloved city.
I wish I was able to join you in person at Tito Rad’s today to celebrate this wonderful milestone and our community of Filipino Americans that OSM! has uplifted with your thoughtful and dedicated coverage over the last decade. OSM! online magazine celebrated its 10th year on March 18, 2022, and pre-launched a book titled “Awesome at 10,” a curated compilation of articles and essays it published online from 2012 to 2022 at Tito Rad’s Grill in Queens. Founded by Montebon and her daughter Leani Alnica, OSM! online magazine consistently covered FilAm communities while branding itself with positive journalism and ‘telling it as it is.’ #
