Book on Human Trafficking of Filipinos, In the Belly of the Beast Out in Amazon and Kindle

New York City – The US version of In the Belly of the Beast: Stories of Sadness, Stories of Success by Marivir Montebon, OSM! publisher and executive editor, is now on Kindle and paperback in Amazon.

The book was published by the University of San Carlos Press in Cebu and was launched here in May 2016 at the Philippine Center. In the Belly of the Beast is a collection of true to life stories of trafficked Filipino men and women working as teachers and hotel guest workers.

The USC Press noted that Montebon’s book is “a valuable contribution to the rare collection of human trafficking narratives that are still widely silenced by shame and fear. The stories of pain and triumph in this book are real-life experiences of Filipino men and women which give readers strength, inspiration, and wisdom.”

Other books by Montebon on Amazon are: Biting the Big Apple (Self-published, 2013) and Hats Off for Gabbie (HardBall Press, 2015)
