New York City – A California-based not-for-profit organization is seeking out kind hearts to help poor children and their families feel the holidays this Christmas in the Philippines.
Project Pearls (Peace, Education, Aspiration, Respect, Love, Smiles) aims to provide families in Tondo, one of the poorest urban communities in Manila, a holiday dinner pack and Christmas gifts for the children. For only $20 or Php 1000, one family will receive a Christmas Dinner Pack good for 8 and all their children will receive Christmas gifts.
Project Pearls is a love project initiated by Melissa Villa and her daughter Francesca in California in 2008.

“We want these families to have a decent dinner when they gather around the table with their loved ones on Christmas Day and for the children to open their Christmas presents with so much joy, excitement and gratitude,” the Christmas campaign website said.
