COVID19
Gasping for breath….
that would not come,
Clutching at life
that would not stay….
“Lord,”….I whisper…
I Pray,
As fearful eyes, searching…
not finding,
familiar faces…a hand to hold,
to…say…goodbye.
Sylvia Hubilla, poetry on April 21, 2020 in

In memory of Interior Designer Johnny Hubilla, an icon in the world of Philippine Interior Design. He was respected in his long career in design. And he was loved – by so many!
God gifted him with talents and good looks, and charm, and also with kindness and respect for others, and generosity. He never failed to give glory to God and count his blessings.
He was also my brother. And this, I count as my blessing. He lost his battle with COVID19 on March 25, 2020. He just turned 79 on March 22.
As passionate as he was with his craft, he was exactly the same with his faith. He loves his God. And clearly, God loves him. The Lord rescued him from this agony quickly.
And he journeyed home to his Heavenly Father on the Feast of the Annunciation of Our Lady. Godspeed, Johnny. Thank you, Lord, for the many beautiful memories!
