I was so happy when I leaned that our cruise ship will visit Malta for 12 hours.
When we arrived at the port of the capital city Valletta, I was immediately awed by its castles. I can see the Greek, Arab and the modern architecture in these old structures.
This tiny archipelago of seven islands in the Mediterranean sea makes you feel like you are the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Athens in Greece, and in Rome all in one time.
Malta was a colony of the United Kingdom until 1964 and became a republic in 1974. It became a member of the United Nations in 1964 and of the European Union in 2004.
Malta is a favorite tourist destination because of its warm climate and historical monuments, nine of which are declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. The Hal Saflieni Hypogeum, Valletta, and seven Megalithic Temples are a must see in Malta.
My favorite movies like Troy and Alexander were shoot in this beautiful country.
