New York City – Members and guests of the Fil-Am Press Club of New York will hear from the hands-on experience of community photojournalists on Thursday, July 13 7:30 PM at the UTS on 4W 43rd Street as part of their professional development program.
The two speakers are Cesar Loverita and Lambert Parong, both highly visible and respected photojournalists in the FilAm community.
Cesar ‘Boyet’ Loverita is a GMA Pinoy TV news stringer and correspondent for the tri-State area of the Northeastern US. He is a freelance photographer and has a finance and nursing education background. He started as a correspondent for a Filipino publishing company in Europe and covered the presidential visit of Fidel V. Ramos in Europe.
He has covered big events such as the PIDCI-initiated gala and Independence Day Parade, Fiesta in America extravaganza in New Jersey, and the New York Fashion week. He has shot for international celebrities like Miss Universe Philippines Pia Wurzbach and Miss U France Iris Mittinaere, but his heart belongs to his constant inspiration, Lindy Rosales.
Lambert Parong is the chief blogger at Asian Herald New York, newest multi-media website at Kababayan Media. He is the executive editor and founder of Kababayan Media Corp., a New York-based internet media established in 2012 aimed at informing and educating the public while raising the profile of the Filipino community.
When not busy with online media and photography, Lambert is always with his family in Brooklyn. His wife and two daughters are his constant inspiration.
